Louisiana Tech will have at least six football games broadcast on television this fall as Conference USA announced its preliminary 2016 football television schedule Wednesday. Louisiana Tech also announced kickoff times for its five home games.

The television selections are just the initial selections within the package including all four of Conference USA’s current television partners. Additional C-USA football television exposures will be released as soon as they are finalized.

The Bulldogs already had two games selected for national broadcast this fall including the Sept. 3 game at Arkansas on the SEC Network and the Sept. 17 game at Texas Tech on FSN.

Louisiana Tech’s conference opener on Sept. 24 at Middle Tennessee will kickoff at 6 p.m. CT and will be broadcast on the American Sports Network (ASN). ASN will also carry the Oct. 1 game against UTEP at Joe Aillet Stadium, set for a 6 p.m. CT kickoff.

The Oct. 6 contest against Western Kentucky, which was moved to a Thursday for a national broadcast, will air on the CBS Sports Network and will kickoff at 7 p.m. CT.

The Nov. 25 Rivalry in Dixie game at Southern Miss will be broadcast on either ESPN, ESPN2 or ESPNU with exact network and kickoff time to be decided later this season.

In addition to the television selections, Louisiana Tech announced that its home opener against South Carolina State on Sept. 10 will kickoff at 6 p.m., the Oct. 29 game against Rice will have a 6 p.m. kickoff and the Homecoming game against UTSA on Nov. 12 will kickoff at 2:30 p.m. North Texas announced recently that the Nov. 5 contest between the Bulldogs and the Mean Green at Apogee Stadium in Denton will kickoff at 4:30 p.m.

All other times and television selections are to be announced. All dates and times are subject to change.

The 2016 C-USA Championship game on Saturday, Dec. 3 is scheduled to air on either ESPN or ESPN 2. It marks the 12th-straight year that the C-USA Championship will air on the ESPN Networks. ESPN is also scheduled to carry all six of C-USA’s bowl games in which it has a guaranteed selection.
